The Collider is an innovation center focused on climate solutions.
The Collider is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, non-advocacy innovation center focused on climate solutions, offering opportunities for “strategic collisions” between business and science. We are entrepreneurs, scientists, and engineers informing critical business and civic decisions.
We’re about innovation, collaboration and education.
- Innovation: The Collider offers world-class cowork, office suite, and venue space focused on climate innovation.
- Collaboration: The Collider develops public-private-academic partnerships for joint projects.
- Education: The Collider hosts events and learning opportunities that include apprenticeships, specialized training, CEU-eligible classes, and public outreach lectures, workshops, presentations, and more.
We’re located in newly renovated space in downtown ‘Climate City’ – Asheville North Carolina.
The Collider occupies 6,000 sq. ft. of the half-acre Callen Center on the newly renovated top floor of the Wells Fargo building in the heart of downtown Asheville, a vibrant mountain town with a developing reputation as “Climate City.”
We’re just steps away from the world’s largest collection of climate data.
Our world-class facility is just a “campus walk” away from the National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI), a division of the federal National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). NCEI and its scientists house the world’s largest collection of weather, climate and environmental data.
