Presenter Bio

Dave Michelson is an Applied Research Software Designer at UNC Asheville’s National Environmental Modeling and Analysis Center (NEMAC). His 25 year career in the Geospatial and Technology field has enabled him to gain unique insights from work across numerous companies and industries including an engineering firm, a consultancy firm, a county government, a public school system, and, of course, a startup, Dave’s expertise is in designing and building web-based Geospatial tools with an emphasis on incorporating user needs. Dave enables customers and clients to better understand their business issues. He views technologies as a means to remove some of the uncertainty we all face in the world.
